Blue made himself the official toy tester….he LOVES them!
The picture with nearly every toy in the tiny crate (it’s the tiniest size crate you can possibly buy…) isn’t staged…he took each toy, played with it for a minute or two and collected them all up in his crate…

So we think Blue is making up for his lost puppy-hood… He’s really coming out of his shell and LOVES toys! His favorites are the tiny tennis balls, preferably the Kong brand because they squeak, a little fuzzy blue dog with a yellow hat (it crinkles and we can stuff snacks in it) and a little rubber duck about 4″ in length. You can see from the pics below he isn’t afraid to help himself to a toy or two….or the entire toy box!!

We are SO thrilled with this little guy’s progress!!! We were unsure about how well we could get him but it’s been about 40 days since he came in to our care and holy smokes what a change for the better!

Look how much happier he looks!
This is SO much better than we could have hoped for!!! He’s got a gorgeous “blue” (slate grey) coat, sharp white markings and if you check out the other pic you can see adorable little tan eye brows, cheek markings and he’s also got tan markings around his chest!

From Blue’s foster mom:
I wish I could update more but skin is such a slow process so there isn’t a lot to say in between vet visits! Blue is a real champ in the bath, each time I lather him he has to sit for minimum 10min with the soap on him, he used to whimper and fuss (understandable) and now he just sits patiently. He doesn’t get as many baths, I try to base it on how smelly he gets or how clean his skin looks/feels, we are at about a bath a week!!! and each time he is less and less yeasty/stinky in between so that’s great progress! Boy is he getting to be a little stinker, he has such character now that he is settling in and obviously feeling healthier. He’s taken to being a watch dog and now barks when people come in, he stops thankful and just spins and jumps around like popcorn all happy to see us and guests. He will drag socks off, loves to wrestle the skineez toys and really loves the tiny tennis balls!
Blue LOVES to go outside, just like the big dogs!
When Blue got here he looked like a tiny hunchback of Notre Dame, he’s lookin’ good now!!

Woofs up folks?! I’m doin’ really super here. My foster dad says I’m starting to get rock star hair! Ok maybe not quite but it’s growing. Foster mom says I am way less stinky and I’m doin’ good with 1-3 baths a week. I hate the bath but I’m gettin’ used to it, I just stand around in the tub while the shampoo works it’s magic, my favorite part is “towel time” when I gets lotsa sunggles in the towel on my foster mom’s lap.
I’m goin’ back to the vet later this week. Maybe he will say I can go to my forever home soon!
